What we collect
- The screenshot, description and optional prompt you choose to submit.
- A random visitor identifier stored in a necessary, HTTP-only cookie for one year so one browser cannot repeatedly vote for the same post.
- One-way hashes derived from that identifier and, temporarily, the connecting IP address to enforce voting and abuse limits. The app does not store the raw IP address.
- Basic request and security logs needed to operate and protect the service.
There are no advertising cookies, behavioural profiles, mailing lists or third-party analytics.
Why we use it
We use this information to publish submissions, count votes, prevent spam, investigate reports and keep the service secure. Our basis is the legitimate interest in running a safe community site. You decide whether to submit content and can ask for it to be removed.
Where it is stored
Screenshots, post details and vote records are stored securely. Submissions are public after posting. Companies that help us operate the service may process information in other countries using appropriate safeguards.
How long it stays
- Posts remain until they are removed after a request, rule violation or closure of the service.
- The necessary visitor cookie expires after one year. Operational logs follow the configured operational retention period.
Your choices and rights
You can ask what information we hold about you, request correction or deletion, object to or restrict its use, or raise a concern. Email privacy@wtf-claude.com. If a screenshot needs urgent review, use abuse@wtf-claude.com. People in the UK can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Before you post
Remove names, email addresses, account details, private conversations and anything else that identifies someone. The site is not intended for submissions by children under 16.
